I struggle with myself when it comes to leaving things alone. "If it aint broke dont fix it" mentallity just doesnt apply to me. My car as it currently sits looks pretty good to me, and there really isnt much wrong with it. But over time it, my car has just gotten a bit bland for me. So I decided to purchase another front lip. But this time I decided to go the fiberglass route.
When I originally purchased this lip a few weeks ago the plan was to cut it up and create something new. I had all sorts of ideas when I got my hands on it, but like everything that deals with cars, things change.
Anyways, here are a few of the original idea's I had in mind for it. (starting with the untouched version first)
Thats what it looked like after I did a quick test fit and pulled it out to the street. Now down below was the first idea I had. Pretty simple, just smooth out the sides and chop the overall length of it down so it was less ... umm, shovel shaped ?
Now on this version I went a bit more aggressive and chopped out the center section to give it a bigger mouth and grill opening. I wasnt intially sold on the look of the lip (untouched), but the more I looked at, the more I started to like it. Not sure what I'm going to do just yet, But some idea will surface out of my head and then i'll start cutting. Until then, just enjoy the pics. and follow the rest of the build here
